Port Blair, Aug 13: Bahujan Samaj Party on Monday in a simple function inaugurated its party office at No. 1, Gurunanak Market, Aberdeen Bazaar. The Party office of BSP was inaugurated by Dr. Ashok Warth, (MLC) UP, Coordinator of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Puducherry and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Dr. Ashok Siddharth (MLC) UP while speaking on the occasion praised the efforts of the local leaders to bring the political party in the remote Andaman and Nicobar Islands. He further said that BSP has been in power in Uttar Pradesh multiple times. He further added that the party has proved itself in the Largest state of India, Utttar Pradesh and the local party workers here will work hard and prove themselves
in Andaman and Nicobar Islands too. He further said that BSP is not just a political party but a movement since its establishment.
Further BSP organised a press conference at Hotel Megapode Nest and briefed the media personnel’s that on instruction of the National President, BSP Bahen Kumari Mayawati the Andaman and Nicobar State Chapter of BSP was established. Dr. Ashok Siddharth (MLC) UP informed the media that the state team of BSP will work in the grass root level and will try to establish the party firmly in the Islands.
Several Media personnel’s questioned the BSP leaders on several issues. When the media personnel questioned them what will be their reaction on PBMC’s proposal to convert Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Auditorium into a movie theatre, Mr. Ashok Siddharth (MLC) UP informed that the auditorium should be auditorium only and should not be converted into theatre and a theatre can be constructed elsewhere in the Islands.
Mr. Ashok Siddharth (MLC) UP also informed the media that he saw the board of Medical College site in Andaman’s and a Medical College in Andaman and Nicobar Islands is the need and the central Govt. Should immediately make developmental plans for Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Further Mr. Ashok Siddharth (MLC) UP announced the office bearers of the Party for Andaman and Nicobar Islands which constituted as follows Mr. Harris Anselm, President, Mr. S.
