Port Blair, Aug 13: All India Radio, Port Blair will broadcast Hon’ble President Shri Pranab Mukherjee’s address to the nation on the eve of Independence Day at 7 pm and Lieutenant Governor Lt.Gen.A.K Singh’s address to the Islanders on the eve of Independence Day at 8 pm on 14th August 2013.
On 15th August 2013from 7.05 am onwards there will be Live Broadcast of the National Flag Hoisting Ceremony and Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh s Address to the Nation from Red Fort and from 8.50 am onwards there will be Live Broadcast of flag hoisting ceremony and address to the Islanders by Lieutenant Governor Lt.Gen. A.K Singh from Netaji Stadium.
AIR,Port Blair will also relay special News Reel from 8.15 pm and a Special feature on the occasion of Independence Day “Kuchh Baat Hai Ki Hasti Mitati Nahin Hamari” at 10 pm on 15th August 2013.
