Hut Bay, Aug 01: In yet another incident of intrusion by foreign nationals in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, as many as 65 Sri Lankan people today reached Hut Bay Island. According to reports these people were going towards some South East Asian Countries in search of job in a small trawler, which developed technical snag at high sea. According to them after drifting for several weeks they finally reached Hut Bay Shore today.
Presence of foreign nationals in Hut Bay had triggered panic among Islanders, who intimated about the same to Hut Bay Police Station.
“Public informed Police about presence of Sri Lankan people at Hut Bay. They will be brought to Port Blair soon for further interrogation,” Mr. Chinmoy Biswal, the Superintendent of Police of South Andaman told Andaman Sheekha today.
