Port Blair, July 21: A story recently posted by and Facebook user, Mr. Surajit Chowdhury is doing rounds in the social network site.
This story is about Mr. M. Nageswar Rao, a hardworking Cobbler, who runs a small shop opposite to STS Bus Terminus of Port Blair.
According to Mr. Surajit Chowdhury, recently he had handed over his old suitcase to Mr. M Nageswar Rao for repair. While taking delivery of the repaired suitcase, to the utter surprise of Mr. Chowdhury, the Cobbler Mr. M.Nageswar Rao handed over Rs. 11,000 to him and said that he found the cash in the suitcase.
Mr. Chowdhury had forgotten about the money in the suitcase after coming from mainland.
Highly impressed and grateful, Mr. Chowdhury tenderheartedly tried to give thousand rupees to him but Mr. Roa refused to accept the money saying “hum is tarah ka paisa nahi rakhte” (I don’t take such money).
This small story is a sweet reminder for all of us that this world still has honest people, who are not greedy even if they are needy.
Andaman Sheekha team salutes Mr. Nageshwar Rao for his honesty and Mr. Chowdhury for sharing this amazing story with all of us.
