Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov 06: The Sports Authority of India (SAI), STC, Sri Vijaya Puram, will conduct selection trials for the induction of residential athletes in Rowing, Kayaking and Canoeing, and Football (Girls) to fill existing vacancies at the Centre. Boys and girls aged 10 to 14 years are eligible to participate. For Rowing, the minimum height requirement is 160 cm for girls and 170 cm for boys. The trials will be held at Netaji Stadium, SAI STC, Sri Vijaya Puram, on November 15, 2026 (Sunday), at 9 AM.
The trials aim to identify talented young sportspersons and provide them with professional sports training under the SAI Residential Scheme. Selected athletes will receive free lodging and boarding, sports kits, competition exposure, educational expenses and medical insurance, as per applicable SAI norms.
Candidates must bring their original birth certificate, Aadhaar Card, sports certificates, four passport-size photographs and a medical fitness certificate, along with one set of photocopies of all documents. Preference will be given to State and National-level medal winners and participants.
