Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov 06: Heavy rainfall of 7–11 cm is very likely at one or two places over Nicobar Islands on November 9 and 10. Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are also likely at isolated places over Andaman and Nicobar Islands from November 9 to 12.
A swell alert has been issued for the Andaman and Nicobar coast, with waves of 1.4–1.5 metres forecast up to 11:30 AM on November 7. Fishermen and coastal residents have been advised to exercise caution.
