Sri Vijaya Puram, October 18: The Block Project Office, Wimberlygunj Block, organised a two-day block-level sports meet for Children with Special Needs (CwSNs) on October 15 and 16, 2026, at Wimberlygunj Mini Stadium and the Auditorium of GSSS Wimberlygunj. Dr. Nargis Anwar, Medical Officer (Homoeo), PHC Ferrargunj, as chief guest of the inaugural function, appreciated the initiative of Samagra Shiksha and BPO Wimberlygunj in organising inclusive sports for special children. Mr. Venkat Ram Babu, Gram Panchayat Pradhan, Wimberlygunj, was the guest of honour.
A total of 70 CwSN students from different schools under Wimberlygunj Block participated with great enthusiasm in various outdoor and indoor inclusive sports conducted over the two days.
All participants were encouraged and the winners were felicitated. On the concluding day, medals and certificates were distributed to winners and participants by the chief guest.
