Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct 12: Continuing N&MA District Police’s stringent action against the illegal possession, transportation and sale of liquor, Rangat Police, acting on credible intelligence, conducted a search operation at Bakultala on 12.10.2026, resulting in the seizure of 61 bottles of IMFL of various brands, with a total volume of approx. 17 litres.
In connection with the seizure, an excise case has been registered at Police Station Rangat, and further legal proceedings are being undertaken in accordance with the law. The seizure also reflects the continued efforts of N&MA District Police to curb the illegal possession, transportation and sale of liquor and ensure the strict enforcement of excise laws across the district.
The district police urge to report any illegal activities to the nearest police station or via the 100 and 112 helplines. All informer identities remain strictly confidential, and rewards will be given for actionable tips.
