Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 29: The Office of the Deputy Commissioner (South Andaman) organized Hindi Pakhwada-2026 from 14th September to 28th September, 2026. With the objective of promoting Hindi and encouraging the use of Hindi in official work, various competitions and activities were organized for the officers and employees during the Pakhwada.
On the occasion of the concluding programme of Hindi Pakhwada-2026, Smt. Priyanka Kumari, Additional District Magistrate, along with officers and employees of various sections of the Office, the Nodal Officer (Official Language)/Assistant Director (Administration) and Shri K. V. Satyanarayan, Senior Translation Officer, Department of Official Language, were present. During the programme, Smt. Mariam Bibi, Office Superintendent, presented a brief report on the various programmes and competitions organized during Hindi Pakhwada-2026.
Four major competitions were organized during Hindi Pakhwada. The winners who performed excellently in the competitions were felicitated with prizes and certificates by Additional District Magistrate.
Following the prize distribution ceremony, a one-day Hindi workshop was organized. During the workshop, Shri K. V. Satyanarayan provided important information and guidance to the officers and employees regarding official work in Hindi, Hindi noting and drafting, and working in Hindi on computers.
