
Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept 25: As part of the 11th Ayurveda Day and the Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign 2026, the CSL–AN Ship Repair Unit (CANSRU), Sri Vijaya Puram, in association with the AYUSH Department, Directorate of Health Services, Andaman & Nicobar Administration, organized an Awareness Programme on Ayurveda and Jan Bhagyadari.
The programme was inaugurated by Mr. Sreekanth V, Unit Head, who delivered the inaugural address. The awareness class was conducted by the Chief Guest, Mrs. Keerthi, Medical Officer (Ayurveda), Directorate of Health Services, who emphasized the principles of Ayurveda, the effectiveness of a balanced diet for healthy living, and the importance of citizen participation in health and cleanliness initiatives. She also highlighted waste segregation practices and the 3Rs – Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle as key components of sustainable living.
The programme reinforced the significance of Ayurveda in promoting holistic health and underlined the role of community participation in advancing cleanliness and sustainability under the Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign. Active participation from CSL employees, DSS employees, CSL trainees, contractors, and contract workmen, reinfored collective responsibility towards health, wellness, and cleanliness.
