Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept 24: A Health Check-up Camp was organized at Government Middle School (GMS), Rangat Bay, on the initiative of Mr. R. Madhavan, Zilla Parishad Member, Nabutla, with the objective of promoting the health and well-being of school children.
During the camp, a team of doctors and paramedical staff from Community Health Centre (CHC), Rangat conducted a comprehensive health examination of the students. A total of 94 students from Pre-Primary to Upper Primary classes were examined. The medical team conducted various health assessments, including blood tests, eye and ear examinations, and other necessary medical check-ups, and provided appropriate health guidance and advice to the children.
The programme was attended by Mr. R. Madhavan, Zilla Parishad Member, Nabutla, Mr. M. Bhoominathan, District President, BJP Rangat, Mr. D. Thangswamy, District General Secretary, BJP Rangat, Mr. Ramesh Babu, Up-Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Nabutla, and Mrs. Sushila Mistry, Panchayat Samiti Member, along with other Panchayat representatives.
The health camp received a positive response from the villagers and parents, who appreciated the initiative for providing comprehensive health check-ups to children at their school premises. The programme also helped create greater awareness among students and the local community regarding the importance of regular health screening and preventive healthcare.
On the occasion, Mr. R. Madhavan expressed his sincere gratitude to the Chief Medical Officer, doctors and entire paramedical team of CHC Rangat for their valuable services and cooperation. He also thanked the headmaster, teachers and staff of GMS Rangat Bay for their support in making the health check-up camp successful.
The programme concluded successfully with the active cooperation of the Health Department, school authorities, Panchayat representatives, students and the local community.
