Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept 24: The India Meteorological Department (IMD), Sri Vijaya Puram, has issued a weather warning for the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, forecasting thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds at one or two places over the islands during the coming days.
Thunderstorms with gusty winds of 40–50 kmph and lightning are likely to occur at one or two places over the Andaman & Nicobar Islands from September 25 to 28.
Under the Farmer Warning, thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds of 40–50 kmph are likely at one or two places over the islands on September 25, while thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds of 30–40 kmph are likely at one or two places on September 27 and 28.
The Port Warning outlook for the subsequent two days has been indicated as “Little Change.”
