Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 18:The Directorate of Fisheries, has invited applications for the leasing of notified sea areas for undertaking Mariculture activities namely Open Sea Cage Culture, Seaweed culture and Pearl farming activities. Eligible applicants include fishers, fish farmers, fish workers, fish vendors, individual entrepreneurs, private firms, Self Help Groups (SHGs), Fisheries Cooperatives, Joint Liability Groups (JLGs), and Fish Farmers Producer Organizations/Companies (FFPOS/FFPCs).
The prescribed application form, list of designated sea areas as per A&N Administration notification dated 19th September, 2025 and detailed terms and conditions for undertaking Open Sea Cage Culture, Seaweed farming and Pearl culture are available in the official website of the A&N Administration (https://andamannicobar.gov.in/) and in the website of Department of Fisheries(https://anifisheries.andamannicobar.gov.in/).
Interested parties are requested to submit their applications along with all required documentation either physically to the Directorate of Fisheries, Sri Vijaya Puram/Zonal Fisheries Offices (South Andaman/ N&M Andaman/ Nicobar) or through e-mail at dirfish.and@nic.in. The applications in complete format should be submitted not later than 15th October, 2026. Applicants who have already submitted their applications to the Department need not apply again.
