Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 14: The Department of Sports & Youth Affairs, in collaboration with the Directorate of Education and Directorate of Information, Publicity & Tourism and SAI is organizing the Island Cycling Tour–2026 on 19th September, 2026 as part of the initiatives for the promotion, development and marketing of tourism in the Islands. The cycling tour will commence from National Memorial Cellular Jail at 9 AM.
Route: Cellular Jail → Water Sports Complex → Swimming Pool → Flag Point → Corbyn’s Beach → Austinabad → Prothrapur → Bathubasti → Garacharma → Sippighat → Chouldari → Tusnabad → Ferrargunj → Jirkatang. Return Route: Jirkatang → Ferrargunj → Nayapuram → Kanyapuram → Wimberlygunj → Bambooflat Jetty → Sri Vijaya Puram by boat.
Interested participants may are advised to duly fill in and sign the Entry & Declaration Form and submit the same at the Office of Netaji Stadium, Sri Vijaya Puram, on or before 18.09.2026 by 5 PM.
Participants shall participate with their own cycle and complete cycling kit, including helmet, suitable sports attire, water bottle and other essential personal safety gear. Participants are requested to submit the duly filled-in form within the stipulated time for registration and necessary arrangements.
