Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept 14: On the occasion of the celebration of Hindi Diwas, Hindi Fortnight begins with the lighting of a lamp by Regional Head, Dr. Lal Singh. On this occasion Dr. Singh read out the message released by Minister of Home Affairs and Minister of Co-operation Mr. Amit Shah and emphasized upon the role of Rajbhasha Hindi.
Scientists/Officers and staff of BSI actively participated in the programme. Dr. Pankaj Arvind Dhole, Botanist & Hindi Officer, delivered the welcome address and brief about the programme (various competitions) to be conducted during Hindi Fortnight. The programme was moderated by Mr. Prakash Horo, Junior Translation Officer.
