Sri Vijaya Puram Sept 13: The Andaman & Nicobar Administration will be observing ‘Hindi Fortnight-2026’ from September 14 to 28, 2026 in its Offices and Educational Institutions. ‘Hindi Diwas’ will be celebrated in all Govt. Offices and Educational Institutions on Sept. 14, 2026. As part of the observance, various programmes have been chalked out for Officers, Employees of the A&N Administration, Central Govt. Offices and students.
To begin with, Hindi Essay Competitions for Tamil, Telugu & Bangla medium students studying in Class 6th to 8th and Class 9th to 10th of Headquarter area will be organized on 15.09.2026. Hindi Typing Competition for Employees of A&N Administration & Town Official Language Committee will be organized on 16.09.2026 at Hindi Typing Training Centre of Official Language Department, A&N Administration.
Hindi Writing Competitions for the Employees of Multi- Tasking Staff of A & N Administration will be organized on 17.09.2026 at Hindi Typing Training Centre of Official Language Department, A&N Administration.
Hindi Noting and Drafting Competitions for the Employees of A & N Administration and Town Official Language Committee will be organized on 18.09.2026 at Tagore Govt. College of Education.
Elocution Competition for the students studying in class 9th & 10th of Senior Secondary Schools of Headquarter area will be organized on 21.09.2026 at Hindi Typing Training Centre of Official Language Department, A&N Administration.
Elocution Competition for the students studying in class 11th & 12th of Senior Secondary Schools of Headquarter area will be organized on 22.09.2026 at Hindi Typing Training Centre of Official Language Department, A&N Administration.
Self – composed Poetry Recitation Competition for college students will be organized on 23.09.2026 at Hindi Typing Training Centre of the Official Language Department, A&N Administration.
Hindi Noting & Drafting Competition will be organized for Gazetted Officers of A&N Administration on 24.09.2026 and for Gazetted Officers of Town Official Language Committee on 25.09.2026 at Hindi Typing Training Centre of Official Language Department, A&N Administration.
On 28.09.2026, a Hindi Workshop for Nodal Officer (Official Language) and Dealing Staff (Hindi) of the various Offices of A&N Administration will be organized in the Conference Hall, Secretariat, wherein the participants will be informed about the Official Language Policy of Govt. of India and duties and responsibilities of Nodal Officer (Official Language). During the closing ceremony of Hindi Pakhapada-2026, the winners of various competitions will be honored with certificates and cash prizes.
