Sri Vijaya Puram, September 4: The Truck and Pickup Cargo Association of Andaman has expressed its heartfelt gratitude to Mr. V. K. Abdul Aziz, Zilla Parishad Member, for successfully leading the recent protest on weighbridge and overloading issues faced by transporters across the Islands.
The Association stated that Mr. Abdul Aziz played a vital role in bringing the concerns of truck and pickup owners before the Transport Department and the Administration. His leadership helped ensure that the long-pending issues of transporters were heard and addressed.
During his interaction with transporters, Mr. Abdul Aziz assured that he would always stand with his transport brothers and support them whenever they face difficulties in the future.
The Association also thanked the Director of Transport and the Transport Department for listening to their concerns and taking positive steps towards establishing a Government weighbridge and improving the welfare of transporters in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
