Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept 01: The Lord Sree Krishna Temple Construction Committee, Haddo Ward-02, Sri Vijaya Puram, will organise Sri Krishna Janmashtami celebrations from September 4 to 6, 2026, at the Lord Sree Krishna Temple, Haddo.
The celebrations will commence on September 4 with special puja and various spiritual and devotional activities at the temple. The main programme will be held on Sunday, September 6, to mark the auspicious occasion of the divine birth of Lord Sree Krishna.
As part of the celebrations, a Sri Krishna Puja Procession will begin at 3:30 p.m. from Lord Sree Krishna Temple, Haddo Ward-02, and proceed towards Aberdeen Bazaar before returning to the temple.
Following the procession, the traditional Water Festival (Matki Phod/Water Festival) will be organised at Hanuman Junction, Haddo Ward-02, from 5:30 p.m. onwards.
According to the organisers, the programme aims to celebrate the birth of Lord Sree Krishna while promoting devotion, spirituality, unity, cultural traditions and community participation.
The Temple Construction Committee has invited devotees and the general public to participate in the celebrations and make the occasion a grand and spiritually enriching event.
