Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug 30: The Electricity Department, A&N Administration, has formally launched an Online Store Inventory Management System @ electricityims.andamannicobar.gov.in recently as a major step towards digitization of Government stores and assets. The application has been indigenously developed by SOVTECH for the Electricity Department to facilitate effective and efficient management of store inventories.
The online portal provides a centralized platform for accessing and managing store inventories. It facilitates online recording and monitoring of the receipt, issue and dispatch of materials, thereby making store management more systematic, transparent and accountable. It will also enable better monitoring of stock levels and support timely planning and procurement to ensure the availability of essential materials.
The implementation of the SIMS application shall further strengthen accountability and improve operational efficiency so that developmental activities of the UT Administration are taken forward progressively for providing reliable & continued power supply across all regions.
