Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug 10: The Andaman & Nicobar Rowing Team delivered an impressive performance at the 27th Sub-Junior National Rowing Championship, held at Rabindra Sarobar Lake, Kolkata, West Bengal, winning three medals across different categories.
In the YJG2X category, Carelyne and Sunidhi secured a Silver Medal, showcasing excellent coordination and determination.
In the SJG2 category, Zeeya Victor and Anu won a Bronze Medal, while Sanvi, Anita, Suzun and Lenity secured another Bronze Medal in the SJG4 category.
The achievements reflect the dedication, hard work and sporting spirit of the young rowers from the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Their performance at the national level has brought pride to the Islands and highlighted the growing talent in rowing.
President of the Andaman & Nicobar Rowing Association, Mr. G. Bhasker, along with the committee members, congratulated all the medal-winning rowers and their coaches for their outstanding performance. They appreciated the athletes for their commitment and hard work and wished them greater success in their future competitions.
The Association expressed confidence that the young rowers will continue to excel at national and international levels and bring further laurels to the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
