
Sri Vijaya Puram, July 30: The 1(A&N) Independent Infantry Company NCC organized a Lecture and Awareness Programme on the Government of India’s flagship initiative Make in India at JNRM College, Sri Vijaya Puram. The programme was coordinated and the lecture was delivered by Lt. Dr. Vivek Kumar Sahu, ANO, JNRM, with active participation from cadets and staff. NCC cadets attended the session, along with PI staff Havildar Deepak and Havildar Maninder Singh Rajak. Lt. Dr. Sahu highlighted:
• Objectives of Make in India — boosting manufacturing, innovation, and employment.
• Key sectors including automobiles, aviation, biotechnology, defense, renewable energy, textiles, and electronics.
• Achievements such as growth in mobile phone manufacturing, defense industries, and renewable energy projects.
• Challenges like infrastructure gaps, regulatory hurdles, and global competition.
• Future vision aligned with Atmanirbhar Bharat, Industry 4.0, and sustainable growth.
Interactive discussions, poster displays, and motivational messages emphasized the campaign’s motto: “Zero Defect, Zero Effect.”
