
Sri Vijaya Puram, July 21: OBC State Chairman of the Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee (ANTCC), Mr. R. K. Raj, paid floral tributes to Kargil martyr Captain Asim Kumar Bhattacharya on his death anniversary, honouring his supreme sacrifice in the service of the nation.
The tribute was paid in the presence of the Chairperson of the Sri Vijaya Puram Municipal Council, Mrs. Vasantha, who also offered floral respects to the brave soldier.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. R. K. Raj said that the supreme sacrifice made by Captain Asim Kumar Bhattacharya in defending the nation continues to inspire generations with the values of courage, patriotism and selfless service. He stated that the sacrifices of the country’s martyrs for safeguarding the unity and integrity of the nation would always remain etched in the hearts of every Indian.
The leaders expressed their gratitude to the brave son of the nation and reiterated the collective resolve to uphold the ideals for which the martyrs laid down their lives.
The programme concluded with the participants paying solemn homage to the Kargil hero and raising the slogan, “Jai Hind.”
