Sri Vijaya Puram, July 13: Mr. G. Bhasker, Chairman of the Campaign Committee of ANTCC, has appealed to the Director of Health Services, Andaman & Nicobar Administration, to strengthen healthcare services at the Namunaghar Sub Centre by arranging regular visits of doctors and a physiotherapist.
In a letter addressed to the Director of Health Services, Mr. Bhasker requested that doctors from the Community Health Centre (CHC), Tushnabad, be deputed to visit the Namunaghar Sub Centre twice a week for at least three hours per visit. He emphasized that the absence of regular medical consultations at the Sub Centre has caused significant hardship to residents of Namunaghar and nearby villages, particularly senior citizens, children, and patients who are unable to travel to CHC Tushnabad for treatment.
Recognizing the increasing number of patients requiring physiotherapy services, Mr. Bhasker also urged the Health Department to depute a physiotherapist to the Namunaghar Sub Centre for a period of one month. He pointed out that such services would greatly benefit patients suffering from orthopedic ailments, neurological disorders, and mobility-related conditions, many of whom are unable to access physiotherapy due to distance and logistical constraints.
He expressed confidence that the Health Department would consider the request sympathetically and take prompt action in the larger interest of public health and the welfare of the people living in the Namunaghar region.
