Sri Vijaya Puram, June 16: The Crime and Economic Offences Police Station, Sri Vijaya Puram, has issued a public appeal seeking the cooperation of investors in connection with an ongoing investigation into an alleged investment fraud case.
According to official information, FIR No. 28/2026 dated May 14, 2026, has been registered at Police Station Crime & Economic Offences under Sections 3(5), 316(2), and 318(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. The investigation into the case is currently underway.
During the course of the investigation, allegations have emerged that Mr. Jayant Biswas, son of Upen Biswas, resident of Road No. 8, Rabindranath Society, Madhapur, Telangana, and Director of M/s Jayant Biswas.com and Metalloids Technology Pvt. Ltd., along with his associates and agents, allegedly persuaded members of the public across the Andaman and Nicobar Islands to invest money by promising high returns and dividends.
Investigators suspect that an amount of approximately ₹44 lakh may have been collected from various investors through such investment schemes. As part of the ongoing inquiry, police are attempting to identify and examine all individuals who may have invested money with the company, its director, or any of its representatives.
The Crime and Economic Offences Police Station has therefore requested all investors, victims, or persons having any claim, grievance, or relevant information relating to these transactions to come forward and assist the investigation. Such individuals have been asked to contact the Investigating Officer, Sub-Inspector Shaji Mathew, on Mobile No. 9476084840 or the Police Station Crime & Economic Offences on Landline No. 03192-232586 and provide details of their investments along with supporting documents.
Police officials stated that gathering information from all affected investors is essential to ensure a fair, comprehensive, and lawful investigation. The public has also been advised that the matter remains under investigation and that all allegations are presently subject to verification in accordance with law.
