Sri Vijaya Puram, June 16: On 16/06/2026, Mr. Anil Kumar Tiwari, State President, BJP along with Mr. Dilip Kumar Das Panchayat Samiti Member, Harinagar, North and Middle Andaman, and State Executive Member of BJP, met Mr. Chandra Bhushan Kumar, I.A.S., Chief Secretary, Andaman and Nicobar Administration, and raised several issues concerning the welfare of the general public.
During the meeting, Mr. Dilip Kumar Das expressed deep concern over the pathetic condition of NH-4 from Thoratang Bridge to Jaipur Village, stating that the deteriorated road condition has been causing immense hardship to daily commuters, particularly students, who face serious difficulties while travelling to their educational institutions.
He further informed the Chief Secretary that the road stretching from Pinaki Naga Youth Club to Kamalapur Village requires urgent repair and strengthening. The road was constructed several years ago, and no significant repair or maintenance work has been undertaken since then, resulting in its present deplorable condition.
Mr. Dilip Kumar Das also highlighted that the drainage system in the area has not been properly constructed and maintained, leading to flood-like situations during every rainy season. Consequently, residents, commuters, and students continue to suffer due to waterlogging and poor road conditions.
He requested the urgent intervention of the Chief Secretary to address these issues at the earliest for the betterment of the general public and the students residing in the Gram Panchayat area.
*Mr. Chandra Bhushan Kumar , IAS, Chief Secretary, Andaman and Nicobar Administration, gave a patient hearing to the concerns raised and reportedly assured that he would do his best to resolve the issues as early as possible.
