Sri Vijaya Puram, June 15: Airports Authority of India (AAI), V.S.I. Airport, Sri Vijaya Puram, successfully observed Yatri Suvidha Diwas with active participation from passengers, airport stakeholders and various partner agencies, reaffirming its commitment towards passenger service excellence, sustainability and community engagement.
The event commenced with a traditional welcome for passengers through Tika ceremony, reflecting the spirit of hospitality and warmth associated with the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Throughout the day, passenger -centric initiatives were undertaken alongwith focus on green airport and sustainability measures.
A collective rendition of “Vande Mataram” was organized with enthusiastic participation from airport employees and stakeholders, fostering a sense of national pride and unity. Housekeeping personnel were felicitated in recognition of their invaluable contribution towards maintaining high standards of cleanliness and passenger comfort at the airport.
As part of the celebrations, the airport showcased various environmental and sustainability initiatives, including energy conservation practices, tree plantation, awareness drives and selfie points which attracted significant participation from travellers and visitors.
Special appreciation was extended to housekeeping staffs and women professionals serving in different aviation-related organizations, including airlines, CISF, police, and other stakeholder agencies, acknowledging their dedication and contribution towards the growth of the aviation sector.
Passenger feedback collected during the programme reflected appreciation for the facilities and services available at the airport. The inputs received will be utilized for further enhancement of passenger convenience and service delivery.
