
Sri Vijaya Puram, June 14: On 14.06.2026, during routine beat patrolling at Nimbudera, police personnel of PS Billiground received information regarding the sale of suspected venison at a chicken shop.
Acting promptly, the police team conducted a check and recovered approximately 6 kg of suspected venison from the shop. The suspected venison was seized under the relevant provisions of the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972, and, after observing all legal formalities, was handed over to Forest officials of Betapur Range for further necessary action.
The timely action of N&MA Police reflects their continued vigilance and commitment towards curbing illegal activities through effective law enforcement and inter-departmental coordination.
