Sri Vijaya Puram, June 12: Dr. Apoorva Sharma, DANICS, Director (RD/Panchayat), visited Gram Panchayat Shivapuram on 12.06.2026 to review ongoing developmental activities and discuss issues related to Panchayat administration and rural development.
The Director was accompanied by Mr. Pradeep Kumar Singh, Block Development Officer (BDO), CD Block Rangat. During the visit, a meeting was held with Mr. Venkateswar Rao, Pradhan, GP Shivapuram, Mrs. Santha Kumari, Panchayat Samiti Member, and Mr. K. Ravi Kumar, Panchayat Secretary.
Various matters concerning Panchayat development were discussed, including fund allocation, implementation of development works, delays in preparation of technical estimates, shortage of manpower, and other issues affecting the overall progress of the Panchayat area. The Panchayat representatives requested timely intervention for effective implementation of developmental projects and public welfare activities.
Subsequently, the Director inspected the Solid Waste Management (SWM) Cluster under GP Shivapuram and reviewed its functioning, waste management practices, and maintenance standards. The Director appreciated the efforts being made towards maintaining cleanliness and promoting sustainable waste management in the Panchayat area.
Dr. Apoorva Sharma assured the Panchayat representatives that the issues raised during the meeting would be examined and appropriate action would be taken for their early resolution.
