Port Blair, Jun 07: Beware of Hi-Tech Cheaters, as now they can deduct all you mobile balance amount within a minute by tricking you as BSNL Customer Care Executives.
Recently a BSNL retailer got a call from BSNL Customer Care. The caller asked retialer about his details and confirmed his details in the same way in which a trained Customer Service Associate does. The retailer, Mr. K. Paramasivam, State Secretary, BJP was then told by the called that for all new retailer of BSNL company is providing Rs. 1150/- as a gift in their BSNL account and asked him to provide his mobile number through which easy recharge is performed.
Mr. Paramasivam without any doubt provided his easy recharge mobile number to avail the gift offered by the fraud caller but after furnishing his easy recharge mobile number to the caller he noticed that his BSNL and Airtel accounts are debited with balance worth Rs. 3000.
Andaman Sheekha approached the CGM, BSNL, Andaman and Nicobar Island but he was not in the station. When the DGM, BSNL was approached he completely refused to comment on this matter.
This is completely a new kind of fraud that has been reported. Sources in BSNL told Andaman Sheekha that a few other BSNL retailers have already been duped by these imposters.
Mr. Paramasivam has already lodged a complaint with the SHO, Aberdeen Bazaar and has also sent the complaint letter copy to CGM, BSNL, Port Blair. The BSNL must immediately act in this case and find out the culprits who are playing with BSNL system. Involvement of insiders in this case, can’t be ruled out.
