
Sri Vijaya Puram, May 04: By the divine blessings of Her Holiness Satguru Mata Sudiksha Maharaj, the Sant Nirankari Mandal, Branch Sri Vijaya Puram (Port Blair), successfully organized its 30th Blood Donation Camp on 03rd May 2026 (Sunday) from 09:30 AM to 01:30 PM at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan, Junglighat.
The camp was conducted in collaboration with G.B. Pant Hospital and the Andaman & Nicobar AIDS Control Society (ANACS). The experienced doctors and medical team carried out the blood donation process in a safe, orderly, and efficient manner after proper health screening of the donors. A total of 83 individuals registered for blood donation, out of which 57 donors successfully donated blood, including 14 female donors and 43 male donors, while the remaining were deferred due to medical reasons such as low haemoglobin, high blood pressure and other health-related parameters.
The camp was formally inaugurated by Padma Mr. Awardee Mr. Naresh Chander Lal, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest by cutting the ceremonial ribbon. Mr. R. K. Raj, Councellor, Ward No.7 & Chairman, OBC (ANTCC) was present as the Guest of Honour, while Dr. Divya Ji (RJ), Blood Bank, G.B. Pant Hospital attended as a Special Guest.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest emphasized the importance of blood donation, stating that one unit of blood can help save up to three lives. He appreciated the noble humanitarian services rendered by Sant Nirankari Mission and highlighted its initiatives under Project Amrit, particularly the cleaning of wells. He also stressed the urgent need for water conservation, especially during the summer season.
He further stated that a person becomes great through their deeds, not by birth, status, or wealth. Appreciating the Mission’s balanced focus on spiritual awakening and social service, he commended the volunteers for their dedication and selfless efforts.
Guest of Honour Mr. R. K. Raj appreciated the social initiatives of Sant Nirankari Mission and remarked that he has consistently observed remarkable participation of women in these camps, reflecting a deep sense of commitment. He also praised the disciplined and well-organized manner in which the camp was conducted.
