
Sri Vijaya Puram, Apr 08: In a significant step toward improving access to quality healthcare in rural areas, Health 4U Multispeciality Clinic, in association with the Directorate of Health Services Andaman and Nicobar Administration, successfully conducted a Free Health Camp on 8 April 2026 at Primary Health Centre Wimberly Gunj.
The health camp witnessed an enthusiastic response from the local community, with more than 50 patients benefiting from free consultations, screening, and medical advice. The initiative aimed to bring specialized healthcare services closer to residents of Wimberly Gunj and nearby areas who often face difficulty accessing advanced medical facilities.
The camp featured consultations by experienced specialists including Dr. Sumit Rakshit, Consultant Physician (MBBS, MD – Internal Medicine), and Dr. Megha Kakani, Interventional Dermatologist and Cosmetologist (MBBS, DDVL). Patients were evaluated for a variety of medical conditions, and appropriate guidance and treatment recommendations were provided ensuring comprehensive healthcare support for the attending patients.
The event was organized under the leadership of Dr. Kunal Roy, Director of Health 4U Multispeciality Clinic, who has been actively promoting community healthcare initiatives across the islands.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Roy emphasized the importance of outreach healthcare services in remote island regions.
