Diglipur, Apr. 6: A fishing boat, MV Jindal, which had reportedly gone into distress near the western side of Elizabeth Bay under Police Station Diglipur jurisdiction, was safely rescued by the Indian Coast Guard.
According to information, the incident occurred on April 5 at around 4:30 pm when the vessel experienced engine failure and sent out a distress signal. Responding promptly, ICG Headquarters-09 (ICGHQ-09) launched a rescue operation and successfully assisted the boat.
The vessel had three persons on board, including its master Mr. Subash Baroi of RK Gram. All crew members, along with the boat, were reported safe.
