
Sri Vijaya Puram, Apr 05: The Pencak Silat Association of Andaman & Nicobar Islands has delivered an impressive performance at the ASMITA National Pencak Silat League held in Gujarat from 31st March to 1st April 2026, bringing pride to the Islands by securing a total of six medals, including one gold and five bronze.
Ms. P. Dhanista clinched the gold medal, while the bronze medals were won by Ms. Dristi Singh, Ms. Sudiksha Das, Ms. Angel Aleta, Ms. Trisha Sunil, and Ms. Trisha Devi. The athletes showcased remarkable skill and determination across both Tanding (fight) and Regu (event) categories.
The achievement reflects the dedication and rigorous training undertaken by the players under the guidance of their trainer Er. Logarjun, who, along with the team, put in consistent efforts through intensive training sessions.
The Association also extended appreciation to the parents of the players, the entire PSAANI team, and the supporting fraternity for their encouragement and support. Special acknowledgment was given to CEO Iqbal Sir and the IPSF family for their continuous guidance and backing.
Mr. M.S. Murugan, President of the Association, congratulated all the players and stakeholders for their outstanding performance and encouraged them to continue striving with greater focus, discipline, and consistency in future competitions.
