Sri Vijayapuram, Apr 02: A request has been submitted to the Lt Governor and senior officials of the Andaman & Nicobar Administration seeking the operation of a special passenger ship from Campbell Bay to Sri Vijayapuram on May 2, 2026, in view of the upcoming summer vacation.
In a representation, State President of Hindu Rashtra Shakti, Mr. Rakeshwar Lall, highlighted that the summer period witnesses a significant surge in travel, with students, families, and government employees returning to Sri Vijayapuram. He pointed out that the existing shipping schedule is often inadequate to meet the increased demand, leading to inconvenience and travel difficulties for passengers.
Emphasizing the need for timely intervention, Lall urged the Administration to arrange a special ship service to ensure smooth, safe, and hassle-free travel for the public. He expressed hope that the authorities would take necessary action in the larger public interest.
