
Sri Vijaya Puram, Mar 27: In an inspiring and interactive session, the students of Mahatma Gandhi Government College (MGGC), Mayabunder, had the opportunity to engage in an open conversation with the District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner of North and Middle Andaman, Dr. Sushant Padha, IAS.
The programme was organized with the objective of guiding students on how to build a bright career and contribute meaningfully towards the development of a strong and progressive nation. Dr. Padha, widely regarded as an ideal and role model among the student community, graciously accepted the invitation extended by the students. Dr. Sushant Padha arrived at the MGGC Auditorium at 10:00 AM, where he was warmly welcomed by the Principal, Dr. R.V.R. Murthy, with a floral bouquet. The Principal also presented a brief overview of the college, highlighting its history, achievements, and current academic status.
Dr. P.K. Mandal, Senior Faculty of the History Department, delivered a vibrant introductory address, outlining the objectives of the programme. He also introduced Dr. Padha, sharing his inspiring life journey and struggles, and described him as a true role model for the students of MGGC.
In his address, Dr. Padha engaged the students in an open and interactive discussion. He encouraged them to express their aspirations and shared valuable insights on how to achieve their goals. He emphasized the importance of dedication, hard work, clarity of purpose, and perseverance in shaping a successful career. He also took time to understand students’ concerns and motivated them to overcome challenges with confidence.
His influential and thought-provoking speech deeply resonated with both students and faculty members. Urging the youth to believe in themselves, Dr. Padha advised them to think deeply, act with passion, and remain committed to their dreams while serving the nation.
The programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Yashodhra, Head of the Hindi Department, expressing gratitude to the distinguished guest and all participants for making the event a grand success.
