Port Blair, May 28: Under the direction of the President of Pradesh Congress Committee, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, the Youth Congress President Mr. John Robert Babu accompanied the delegations of South Andaman District Administration and South Andaman Zilla Parishad to rain hit villages of South Andaman. The Youth Congress President and the South Andaman Zilla Parishad Chairperson, Mrs. Abala Samadder took the Deputy Commissioner of South Andaman to various places of Wandoor and Chouldari, which are worst hit by heavy rain.
According to reports, the Deputy Commissioner of South Andaman, Mr. Rupesh Kumar Thakur issued directions to concerned officials on the spot to solve the problems of rain affected villagers.
Meanwhile the President of PCC has requested the Lt Governor to issue suitable compensation to those villagers, who have suffered heavy loss due to incessant rain.
