Port Blair, May 27: Along with other parts of the country, the Pradesh Congress Committee also observed the 49th Death Anniversary of the first Prime Minister of India Pdt. Jawaharlal Nehru today. At the outset the Vice President Hamid Ali garlanded the portrait of the great Indian leader and spoke about his noble deeds for the betterment of India for which he is also known as founder of modern India.
Floral tribute were also offered by the leaders and members of PCC, DCC, City Congress, Mahila Congress, Seva Dal, Youth Congress and INTUC.
