
Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan 15: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) ANI unit celebrated National Youth Day on 12th January 2026 with great enthusiasm and reverence at the Swami Vivekananda Statue located in the premises of Jawaharlal Nehru Rajkeeya Mahavidyalaya (JNRM). The programme was organized to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, a great thinker, philosopher, and youth icon of India.
The event began with floral tributes to Swami Vivekananda, followed by an address highlighting his life, teachings, and contribution towards nation-building. ABVP speakers elaborated on Swami Vivekananda’s vision of empowering the youth through education, character building, self-confidence, discipline, and service to society. They emphasized that today’s youth must take inspiration from his ideals to build a strong, self-reliant, and developed India.
During the programme, speakers also stressed the importance of youth participation in social reform, cultural awareness, and national unity. The students were encouraged to work selflessly for society and contribute positively towards the nation’s progress by following the path shown by Swami Vivekananda.
On this significant occasion, karyakartas of Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram were also present and actively participated in the programme. Their presence added dignity and value to the celebration, highlighting the spirit of social harmony, inclusiveness, and service to marginalized communities. The participants collectively shared thoughts on social responsibility and the role of youth in uplifting all sections of society.
The programme witnessed the participation of ABVP office bearers, karyakartas, students, and well-wishers. The event concluded with a message of unity, patriotism, and dedication towards the ideals of Swami Vivekananda, leaving the youth inspired and motivated to serve the nation with commitment and integrity.
