Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan 13: Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya (VKZPV), Port Mout, observed the 163rd Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda and National Youth Day on 12th January 2026 with enthusiasm and reverence.
The event was graced by the Adhyaksh, Zilla Parishad, South Andaman, Mr. Prakash Adhikari, as the Chief Guest, and Zilla Parishad Member, Chouldari Constituency Mrs. Pramila Kumari, as the guest of honour. The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp.
Students presented cultural programmes including patriotic and folk dances, a skit on the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda, and speeches on the significance of National Youth Day. Their enthusiastic participation added vibrancy to the celebration.
A prize distribution ceremony was held to encourage student talent. The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Mrs. Sabita Devi, Headmistress, followed by the Shanti Mantra and the National Anthem.
