Port Bair, May 15: A couple today committed suicide in a lodge, situated at Phongy Kyaung area of Port Blair city. According to reports the boy and the girl, both major, had booked the room at Surya Lodge, Phongy Kyaung, two days back and committed suicide by consuming poison this morning.
Police Department has recovered a suicide note from the room, but the content of the letter has not been disclosed yet. Talking to Andaman Sheekha the Superintendent of Police of South Andaman, Mr. Mandeep Singh Randhawa has confirmed that the suicide was committed this morning. “We are investigating into this matter. The details will be shared later,” the SP said. However, highly placed sources confirmed that the boy from Nayagaon area was married.
