Port Blair, May 14: Under the influence of Cyclonic storm “MAHASEN” over Southeast Bay of Bengal, and adjoining areas strong wind speed between 45 & 55 Kmph and rough to very rough seas likely along and off Andaman & Nicobar coast. Fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea along and off Andaman Coast during next 24 hours & D W S –II is kept hoisted at Port Blair port. The general public is advised to take precautionary measures and in case of any emergency contact in the following phone numbers of State Control Room, District Control Room and Emergency Operation Centres.
As per the weather warning of INCOS, Hyderabad in Andaman region high wind waves in the range of 2.5-5.3 meters are forecasted during 02:30 hours on 15-05-2013 to 23:30 hours of 16-05-2013 along the west & east coast of Andaman Islands between Ten Degree Channel to Coco Channel.
In Nicobar region high wind waves in the range of 2.5-5.3 meters are forecasted during 02:30 hours on 15-05-2013 to 23:30 hours of 16-05-2013 along the west & east coast of Nicobar Islands between Ten Degree Channel to Great Channel.
