Diglipur, Nov. 27: The Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Ramnagar, Diglipur Sub-Division, Mr. Mitu Das, has formally requested for installation of the Jio Mobile Tower at Ramnagar village to improve connectivity and support Tourism in the region.
According to information, the Pradhan, GP Ramngar has reportedly felt the urgent need for reliable mobile network connectivity at Ramnagar village and Ramnagar Beach, Diglipur. With the steady rise in tourist footfall at Ramnagar Beach, visitors frequently face significant inconvenience due to the lack of Jio network coverage in the area, the Pradhan reportedly observed. The absence of proper connectivity not only hampers their experience but also affects essential communication and emergency response during peak tourist hours, Mr. Das decried.
Ramnagar Beach has been reportedly proposed under the Blue Flag initiative, and achieving this status requires meeting high standards of safety, services, and environmental management, he claimed. Adequate mobile network connectivity is one of the essential components for ensuring visitor satisfaction, digital accessibility, and emergency coordination, the Pradhan maintained.
At present, the only available network-BSNL 4G-has become highly saturated and reportedly often fails to provide stable services. This affects not just tourists but also local residents who struggle with poor connectivity for day-to-day communication, online services, education, and digital transactions, the Pradhan informed.
In view of the above, the Ramnagar Pradhan has reportedly urged the Deputy Commissioner, N & M Andaman through a letter to consider on the matter and forward a proposal for installation of a Jio Mobile Tower at Ramnagar Village, he further said.
