Diglipur, Nov. 17: Under the leadership of the Team Leader Mitun Das Pradhan Gram Panchayat Ramnagar, the village youths have once again come forward to participate in Shramdaan for the immediate construction of a culvert slab. This timely initiative will ensure the continuation of the STS bus service, which is especially important for school-going students who depend on it daily.
The Pradhan informed the general public that, under the present administrative scenario, it has become increasingly challenging to execute Panchayat Raj works, as most project files now require approval at the Ministerial level for fund sanctioning. As per the existing rules, the resumption of bus services through regular departmental work could have taken more than a year.
To prevent inconvenience to the public, Gram Panchayat Ramnagar has taken proactive steps. With the support and cooperation of local villagers, the Panchayat has initiated the construction work through Shramdaan. After a curing period of approximately 28 days, the culvert slab will be ready, and the STS bus service is expected to resume, ensuring that the public does not suffer further.
