Diglipur, Nov. 17: The dilapidated stretch of the NH-4 just in front of ANIIDCO Retail Out-Let, Diglipur has become the constant woes for the motorists.
As per report, a stretch of NH-4 connecting the entrance of the ANIIDCO Retail Out-Let, Diglipur are marred with crater-sized potholes and uneven surfaces and the motorists, auto-rickshaw drivers and two-wheeler riders have to face the wrath of this rundown patch of NH-4.
As the bad condition of NH/ATR still continues to plague the people of entire N & M Andaman, the culverts, on the other hand, on the NH from Diglipur Bazaar to Aerial Bay have become the constant woes for the commuters. “We are welcomed with deep potholes, broken patches, and a bumpy ride as we enter the stretch of NH-4 connecting the entrance of the ANIIDCO Retail Out-Let, Diglipur” remarked users of the road.
Andaman Sheekha Daily when spoke to the staff manning the ANIIDCO Retail Out-Let, Diglipur on the stretch of NH-4 connecting the entrance of the ANIIDCO Retail Out-Let, they said that they reportedly urged the concerned agency of the NHIDCL to repair the stretch and make it motorable so that the consumers don’t suffer when they visit the petrol pump for refilling their vehicles, but unfortunately, their pleas have reportedly so far fallen into deaf ears, they decried. They have reportedly informed the local administration about the rundown condition of this stretch, but also reportedly yielded no fruitful result, the ANIIDCO staff further claimed.
Amidst this, the motorists, auto-rickshaw drivers and two-wheeler riders and truck owners have urged the local administration to look into the matter and issue necessary directions to the concerned agency of the NHIDCL to repair the stretch on priority thereby eliminating their commuting woes, they said.
