Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct 30: A delegation of 08 Zilla Parishad Members of South Andaman District proceeded on Educational Tour to Assam & Arunachal Pradesh to study the functioning & Management Vivekananda Kendra Vidayalaya.
The team is led by Mr. S. Boominathan, Up Adhayksh, Zilla Parishad, South Andaman visited Tezu VKV School, Tafrogam VKV School, Roing VKV School, Sunpura VKV School of Arunachal Pradesh and Tansuki VKV school at Assam.
During the tour, the team got the opportunity to interact with the teaching staff, management, and students on the functioning of the school. To promote girl child education the VKV has started a boarding facility for all girl children. Several other noble items were brought before the team which can be implemented in Vivekananda Kendra Vidayalaya School of South Andaman Zilla Parishad. The support of the State Government for the infrastructure is praiseworthy.
The team consisted of Mr. S. Boominathan, Up Adhayksh, Zilla Parishad, South Andaman alongwith Zilla Parishad Members Mr., Apurba Chandra, Mrs. Sarika Devi, Mr. P. Ummer, Mr. Ummer, Mrs. M. Rajani, Mr. Ashamanja Halder& Miss Leela Bathi.
