Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 23:The Directorate of Tourism, in collaboration with the Departments of Education and Sports & Youth Affairs, is all set to host the Beach Sports Festival 2025 on Oct. 24 & 25, 2025 at Wandoor Beach. The two-day event will celebrate sportsmanship, fitness, and community spirit against the breath-taking backdrop of Wandoor’s golden sands and sunsets, promoting teamwork and local tourism through exciting beachside competitions.
The festival will open tomorrow (Oct. 24) with preliminary rounds of Volleyball and Tug of War (Men’s and Women’s categories), followed by the final matches, Arm Wrestling, and 100 Meter Sprint (both categories) on Day 2. Matches will begin at 10 AM, and participants have been requested to report by 9 AM. On-spot registrations will remain open until the commencement of matches.
Cash prizes for winners and runners-up will be distributed on 25th October, 2025 at Wandoor Beach. The Directorate of Tourism has invited all sports lovers and community members to be part of this vibrant celebration of unity, wellness, and the natural beauty of the Islands.
