Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct 19: A Block-Level Training Programme on ‘The Role of Gram Panchayats in Ensuring Good Health, Well-being and Preventing Disease and Awareness on Mental & Physical Health (Theme–02)’ was organized by the Community Development Block, Little Andaman on October 15, at the Panchayat Samiti Hall, Little Andaman.
The programme, held under the Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA), aimed to strengthen the role of Gram Panchayats and community institutions in promoting rural health, hygiene, and well-being. Participants included Pradhans, Panchayat Secretaries, ANMs, Anganwadi Workers, and members of Gram Panchayat Health and Sanitation Committees.
The event was inaugurated by Mr. Belthazer, Block Development Officer (BDO), and graced by Mr. S. Parmanathan, Pramukh, Little Andaman, as the chief guest. The discussions focused on the role of Panchayats in ensuring community well-being, sanitation, and sustainable development.
