Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct 10: ICAR-CIARI, Sri Vijaya Puram, in partnership with its KVKs, will host the Kisan Mela on March 18th and 19th ,2025, at the Mela ground within the Garacharma Research Complex. This two-day event aims to create a dynamic environment for farmers, researchers, and policymakers to interact, fostering the integration of traditional agricultural methods with contemporary scientific innovations to promote a sustainable and prosperous agricultural future. Dr. Chandra Bhushan Kumar, IAS, Chief Secretary of A&N Islands, has kindly agreed as the Chief Guest and will officially open both the Kisan Mela and the Dweep Agro-Eco-Walk initiative at the Sippighat and Garacharma farms of the institute. Ms. Pallavi Sarkar, IAS Secretary, Agriculture & Animal Husbandry will grace the occasion as guest of honour.
