Billiground, Sept. 30: A special medical camp was organized yesterday at PHC Billiground under the ongoing Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan. The program began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Dr. Meenakshi C. Koteeswaran, Gynecologist, and Dr. Thirumani Prudhvi, Pediatrician, both from Dr. R. P. Hospital, Mayabunder.
The camp opened with a health talk delivered by Dr. Meenakshi C. Koteeswaran and Dr. Thirumani Prudhvi, who spoke on gynecological issues and child health. They stressed the importance of preventive care, early diagnosis, and community-level awareness to promote healthier families. Dr. Shailaja. P, CMO (NFSG) of PHC Billiground, Dr. Kesavan Murugesan, GDMO (Allopathy), and Dr. S. Triveni Manju, GDMO (Ayurveda) attended the camp.
Following the session, a range of medical services was provided. A total of 52 women received consultations at the Gynecology OPD, while 56 children were examined at the Pediatric OPD. Alongside these, 61 individuals underwent NCD screening, 10 expectant mothers availed ANC check-ups, and 7 beneficiaries were screened for anaemia. TB screening and Nikshay ID creation covered 5 persons, while 7 adolescents benefitted from dedicated counselling sessions.
