Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept 30: On 29.09.2025, a joint mock exercise was conducted at Veer Savarkar International Airport, Sri Vijaya Puram, by CISF in coordination with the local police.
The exercise was based on a situation of a terrorist attack, where terrorists forcefully entered the Passenger Terminal Building (PTB). It was carried out from 1615 hrs to 1715 hrs with the participation of CISF, Local Police, BDDS, and Medicalteam.
The aim of the exercise was to check the effectiveness of the airport’s emergency plan, coordination between different agencies, and the response during a real emergency.
The exercise ended with a debriefing session by Sh. P. Micky Manoj, Deputy Commandant/CASO. They thanked all agencies for their active support and quick action.
A total of personnel 88 from CISF, Local Police, BDDS, and Medical team took part in the exercise at VSI Airport, Sri Vijaya Puram.
